Thanks for visiting KC Deck and Patio. This is an information source provided by KCHC, a
Kansas City Remodeling Contractor. We are currently not doing any bids until we have finished our scheduled projects. We are currently booked out until April 2012.
If you are planning on building a new deck we would recommend a Composite or PVC.
Timbertech- You can spend upwards of $50 sf for a top of the line Earthwood collection encapsulated composite. Pairing this decking up with a Fortress Railing system is a nice match.

AZEK- If you ask the suppliers, they all say that an AZEK PVC deck has the lowest percentage of callbacks and continues to hold it's original condition better than any other product on the market.
What should you look for when building a Deck that could last up to 40 years?
12" O.C. 2x10 Joist
Durable Handrail System; Fortress is a good option
6x6 Post that are notched into the beam
Minimize Butt joints with Chevron Pattern
Consider a Hidden Fastner System with an encapsulated composite
ABA Adjustable Post Base Attachment
